Standing!

3 post in one day....wow. But I had to show off Liam's newest skill. This boy will be walking soon. Can't believe how fast he grows and changes. He has also learned to blow kisses. Just too precious.

Visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Thorne....

Since Grandma and Grandpa Thorne came to visit we took a little break and ran to Disneyland. It was super hot, but Liam enjoyed playing in the water with Grandma. Here's some pics of my little cutie boy. Love that wild hair!

A wonderful weekend...

When I married Frank, I was not only welcomed into a new family...but to a whole new group of friends. Two of those wonderful friends are Jonathan and Janelle. I feel blessed that they were so kind and open, that they so freely and fully offered me friendship. I was thrilled when Jonathan proposed to Janelle (after just 10 short years!) and I was terrified when Janelle asked me to take pictures at their wedding. Thankfully, my wonderful parents came to visit the same weekend and my Dad helped me with my rookie wedding shots.

Meet the stunningly beautiful bride, Janelle.

Isn't she just gorgeous!?!
And the handsome and charming groom, Jonathan.
The happy couple.

What an exciting way to spend the weekend!

Congratulations Jonathan and Janelle!
XOXO

Liam's first haircut

The before.
For the last few weeks it has been obvious that Liam was in need of a haircut. His bangs touched his eyebrows, his little sideburns were over his ears, and it was pretty long in the back. I hesitated. I have trimmed his hair before but this time he needed a real, big boy hair cut. Today we finally bit the bullet and took him to the "kiddie cuts." Liam was such a good boy! No crying. No fighting. No bribes needed, though I did bring a mini popcicle as a treat just in case.
He looked like such a big boy! Sniff...sniff.

His first professional faux hawk.

Liam liked sitting in the fire truck chair and was
fascinated with the stylists behind him who were using the blowdryer.

Look how big he is!

The stylist, Robin, let him hold the clippers so he could feel them tickle
before she did the final touches.

The after!
Hamming it up with Robin, who was great! She was super fast!
I can't believe how much of a difference a haircut makes. Liam is no longer my little baby...
he's my little boy.
That fact is thrilling and a little sad at the same time.
Friday will mark Liam's 10 month birthday. It's been 10 of the happiest, most fun, and most challenging months of my life. What a beautiful {baby} little boy.

How time flies....

So it seems that I just posted but I realize that it's been almost a month! Life has just been flying by. Liam is still as fun as ever. His two little teeth that were waiting in the wings are still waiting. That boy's teeth are really slow moving. But he loves that he has 2 on top and 2 on bottom because now he can bite! He hasn't bitten anyone really hard yet but he likes to grab my hand and sneak it towards his mouth and then I feel those little teeth graze my fingers....trouble to be sure. He goes in for his "9 month checkup" next Wednesday, just 2 days before he'll be 10 months. We are still working on sleeping through the night. He was the best sleeper until he hit 6 months then he'd wake up and realize that he was not with us. We have good nights, and we have bad. Last night I had to get up 5 times. Makes it tough but at least he'll go back to sleep without being held now. I just have to give him is binky, pat his back a few times and stand next to the crib until he dozes off. This phase will pass....I'm counting on it!

Liam loves to "take bites" however I have a major choking paranoia so he gets everything cut into teenie tiny bites. He was being so funny in this video, he'd take a bite and then turn to Frank and say "Mmmmm." Silly babe.
