Just a quick update

I am horribly behind on this blog…..HORRIBLY!!!  I have a ton of pictures to post, some of which have been uploaded and edited, some that still sit longingly on the memory card of my camera.  But life has just been busy.  Just that…busy.  I have been enjoying my time with my guys, watching as Grayson grows and changes everyday, watching as Liam and Grayson become fast friends.  It really is a blessing to watch these two little guys interact, I have shed more than one sweet tear as I watch it.  Grayson breaks out in a huge grin whenever Liam is around.  Liam sings him sweet little made up songs, like “Grayson I love you!” and  “Grayson it’s ok!” and one about a cat that has a tuba!  Just love the imagination of an almost 4 year old!  So here are just a few pictures of Grayson at 3 months.  I am going to have to go back and post date….or is it pre-dating?….a few post in between but I wanted to take a sec to show of my cuties.

4th of July!

This year the 4th fell on a Wednesday which is not the best day for celebrating.  Work the day before and the day after, well, for Daddy anyway!  We had our celebration with friends the weekend before so on the actual 4th it was just our little family of 4!  I’m not a fan of those store bought,  parking lot stand, boxed firework kits.  First of all they are really expensive and secondly each little firework does practically the same thing.  Spark, spin and sputter out.  Ya see one, ya’ve seen them all!  So we planned a good old BBQ dinner and grabbed a few “party poppers” from Target and celebrated in our backyard.  Liam loved to pull the string and send confetti all over the sidewalk.  Grayson just tried to figure out what us crazy people were doing!

Laguna Beach

I love the beach!  I miss the beach!  In early May we made a quick trip to Laguna Beach to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.  Grayson slept the whole time!

Catching up

This post is a bit of a rewind.  I can’t believe how fast time goes when you have a newborn at home.  It seems to fly by with all your time occupied by feedings, changings and soothing tears.  Liam has been such a big boy.   It was quite an adjustment to have Grayson at home.  There was a few times Liam looked at Frank or I and asked “do you still love me?”  Aahhhh…… like a dagger to the heart.  I was worried how it would be having a new little baby at home to love.  It really is like they say, it is not as if you have to divide your love, your capacity for love grows.  Now if my time could just grow too so I wouldn’t feel like I was shorting anyone.   It is a big balancing act, I think I am getting the hang of it.  I think!  Here area few pictures that I haven’t gotten around to posting yet.  Some are from my Dad (thanks Dad!) and some are ones I snapped.

A Father’s Day Blessing

This year Father’s Day was extra special, family and friends joined us as Frank blessed Grayson.  It is always such a touching day.  To see your precious baby dressed all in white and be cradled in the hands of the faithful men who love them, is always inspiring.  I am so thankful that Frank holds the priesthood and can bless our children.  What a special time.

As you can tell Grayson was done with all of this blessing business!  He cried from practically the moment I handed him to Frank until we got home.  He really is a happy baby!

Unfortunately Grandma Ruth was under the weather and work schedules made Uncle Michael & Jackie and Uncle Kyle & Auntie Darshan unable to come.

Sweet Aunt Karen makes all the kids these adorable burp cloths.  I always save it with their outfits so that they can use it one day when they have babies of the own!  Love the little booties, too bad his feet were a little too small and they didn’t stay on!

On Monday Grayson was in a much better mood so I put him back in his outfit and took a few more pictures.  There’s our happy boy!
