We've had a few requests for pictures of the nursery. It is still a work in progress. There is a LOT of finish work left to do, but this is what we have up to now.
Ray (Frank's dad) was out to help Frank yesterday and they got a lot done. They were able to finish installing the crown moulding, the beadboard, the beadboard cap, the baseboards, and they encased the window.
This is the (unfinished) window.
This is the corner where you can see that the beadboard ends and the regular painted wall begins. You can also see the crown and the blue yet cloudy sky.

Well, it's official. Frank and I are expecting a baby in early November!!! Only 35 weeks to go! We are so excited! We feel very blessed that it was so easy for us to conceive and hope that is a sign for how well the rest of the pregnancy (and delivery!) will go. We are thrilled to welcome the first grand baby to both sides of our family. It is going to be one spoiled baby as both Grandmas are planning already. I have been lucky to have only some fairly mild/moderate nausea and fatigue to deal with. I now travel everywhere with Saltines and find myself falling asleep any time I sit down. Now I have a very good reason to go shopping and Frank doesn't mind going out to look at cribs. We see the doctor every 4 weeks and can't wait until our next visit when we should get to hear the heartbeat! Very exciting times for the Ellett family!

So the big news of the day was that Frank conquered his fear of bees. He did it by standing on the roof of a building, in a bee suit and removing a LARGE hive. Everything went well until it was time to take off the suit back at the truck. That's when one sneaky bee managed to sting Frank, right in the middle of his forehead. I figured that was the safest spot to sting him. Not going to hurt a hard head like that!
Frank's Edit: My fear of bees is very rational. I've been stung by over a hundred of them, all at once. Bee hives are evil, especially the Africanized ones. It's nice to know that Kim appreciates my steadfast and unmovable head. :)
Finn is growing huge, about 65 pounds now. He must be going through his terrible 2's because has been a monster lately. He has been exploring everything. That is just a nice way of saying that he knocks over everything he runs into and pulls things down off the counter. Then he looks at you with innocent eyes trying to figure out what he did wrong. Oh puppy days!
Frank's Edit: Finn is really sweet. He's laying here peacefully with his head on my lap as I type. How is that into everything?
