We have made to 36 weeks! Can't believe how fast it has gone....and how slow. I had a doctors visit today and everything is going well. My blood pressure was fine (and has been since the took me off work!) and my body is beginning to get ready to have this kiddo. I'm 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. I'm sure that's more info than anyone wanted to know but I'm hoping I continue to dilate without even knowing, so it is exciting news to me. I haven't felt anything that I'm sure was a contraction, just pregnancy aches and pains.
We finally got the nursery most of the way done. At least now the baby has a place to sleep. Finn thinks the room is great and loves to run and jump on the bed so he can look out the window. We were excited to have the baby shower recently. Grandma Ruth and Auntie Lisa hosted the party. We had a good time visiting with friends and family (including my Mom (Grandma Thorne), and Aunties Marcy and Darshan all the way from Watsonville.) Grandma Thorne made the baby a beautiful quilt that is sure to be a favorite. I wish it was bigger so I could sleep with it!
And even though we are having a boy you can never have too many shoes. They are so stinkin' cute. Can't wait to see them on his tiny feet!

So So excited for you and your extended family! Love the nursery especially the beadboard and sky. Job well done! How fun to have a little one so close to being here. Any names picked out yet? It will be fun to be able to keep up on your little family as it grows. Best wishes to the Mommy and Daddy.........oh and get lots of sleep now! Love, Aunt Janet
